Our camel guide posed for a photo op after our exhilarating (and smelly) ride near the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Tourists need to be aware of unscrupulous camel owners who wonder among the crowds at the Pyramids offering free rides. What they don’t tell you is that to climb aboard is free but once on top they will charge you to dismount the very, very tall beast!
