Getting up before the birds paid off in a recent visit to Assateague Island when I captured this image of the sun rising across the marsh. The spectacular colors of the sky were reflected in the still waters of the marsh. The peace and quiet of the predawn scene was also enjoyed by my fellow photographer friends and a few biting mosquitos.
