I found this ‘stunned’ young male Cardinal on the ground just outside our sunroom about to be pounced on by our cat…the bird did not move, so I ‘shoo’ed’ the cat and put my hand over it, not knowing if it was alive or dead, but it moved its feet when I picked it up…held it in my open hand for my wife to take a picture of and it didn’t try to fly off…we suspect it had flown into our sunroom glass and stunned itself….kept it in (of all things) a ‘cat’ travel cage overnight with water and wild bird seed and then opened the cage door next day outside and ‘Cardy’ as I named him was out of there in a flash….flew to the nearest woods and I guess he is ok
