About Me:

Got my first camera, a
roll-film “box” one
(“Brownie” by Kodak)
at age ten. Then I
saved all my bucks
for a fully-manual
Nikkormat & zoom. 
Photography is my
only real hobby, so
I spoil myself with
the absolute finest
digital SLR body and
fast pro lenses.
Last fall I took
the leap and got
a Nikon D3 SLR,
same “Mercedes”
caliber one used
by major magazines
and newspapers.
Will shoot 9 frames
per second, great
for races, sports,
etc.!  Also…it
has a “full-frame”
sensor that lets
it capture images
in exactly the
same way as a
film-based SLR
(no “conversion
factor”...so an
18mm lense IS an
18mm lense, rather
than a 27mm one).
If I hadn’t had a
remarkably-fun
40-year career
in classic rock FM
radio, I for sure
would have become
a pro photographer.
Now venturing into
weddings and travel
shooting for cash
as a second career!
